McDonald's has supersized one of its breakfast favourites, at the same time as this year's festive menu goes on sale.
From tomorrow (November 23), the new Christmas menu will hit all restaurants across the UK and Ireland. As breakfast is the most important meal of the day, McDonald's has given its McMuffin a "mighty" makeover. A new supersized version of the fan favourite sees it filled with sausage, egg, bacon, cheese and either ketchup or brown sauce.

The Mighty McMuffin costs £3.99 on its own, or £5.59 to make it a meal. But they'll be on the breakfast menu for a limited time only. The new item will be hitting restaurants on the same day as this year’s festive menu. This Christmas, McDonald's UK is taking a tour of UK towns and cities to "spread some festive magic".
McDonald's said: "Christmas this year will be hard for a lot of people, so McDonald’s hopes to bring some added merriment and magic through its Christmas Card tour, where friends and families can capture and take away a photo moment to send to loved ones."
There'll also be free McDonald's food on offer at every stop - but sadly, Liverpool will miss out. The tour dates are as follows:
- Wednesday, November 23 – Colchester, Tollgate Centre
- Thursday, November 24 – Swindon, Orbital Shopping Park
- Friday, November 25 - Derby, Meteor Retail Park
- Saturday, November 26 – Llandudno, Mostyn Champneys Retail Park
- Sunday, November 27 – Doncaster, Wheatley Centre Shopping Park
