A couple found a 60-year-old half-eaten McDonald's meal as they were giving their bathroom a make-over.
Rob and Gracie Jones were carrying out some restoration work on their home in Crystal Lake, 50 miles north of Chicago, US.
After breaking through a wall they found a mystery bag and inside were two burger wrappers and a pack of fries that hadn't been finished.
The pair said the chips were very crispy and brown but hadn't perished despite being made over six decades ago.
The couple could now cash in on the ancient meal after saying they would happily sell their find to the right buyer.
"Rob was in the bathroom replacing the old toilet paper fixture," Gracie told CNN.
"As he pulled the fixture out, he noticed a rolled up piece of cloth bunched up inside the wall.
"At this point we're both looking at each other wondering if we'd be calling the police because we just uncovered evidence from a crime scene!"
"We were very relieved to have just found the old McDonald's bag.
"We saw the fries and were like, 'This is unreal.' How on Earth are these fries still in this bag and how are they preserved so well?! It was wild."
They realised the food was from the 50s after researching the logo on the bag, which included Speedee, the fast-food chain's original mascot.
The symbol was in use between 1955 and 1961, they discovered.
The first-ever McDonald's restaurant opened its doors 82 years ago in San Bernardino, California with burgers for around 11p on the menu.
It quickly become one of the most popular fast-food chains around the world, serving roughly 68 million customers every day.
Richard and Maurice McDonald opened the very first McDonald's restaurant in San Bernardino, California in 1940 and things looked rather different - including the name.
The original menu was much simpler to allow orders to be cooked quicker and it featured quaint food descriptions including a "pure beef hamburger", "tempting cheeseburger", "triple-thick shakes", and "golden French fries".
To accompany their food, customers could also purchase a "thirst-quenching Coke", "delightful root beer", "steaming hot coffee", a "full-flavour orange drink" and "refreshing cold milk".
The brothers quickly sold 14 franchises, with 10 of these becoming operating restaurants - not including their original location in San Bernardino.
The first McDonald's restaurant in the UK opened in Woolwich, south London, in October 1974.
