McDonald's employee reveals 'annoying' complaints customers continually make - happy meals, delivery and more

Working in fast food certainly can have its benefits - including discounted food and free staff meals while on shift - there are a lot of negatives that come with the role.

From tedious cleaning tasks, to the manic rush at dinner and tea time, fast food employees certainly have their fair share of downsides.

But one McDonald's worker has recently shared one of the most patience-testing aspects of her shifts, and it comes in the form of heated customer complaints and bizarre requests.

Taking to social media service TikTok, Abbie Selby recently shared the harsh reality of dealing with rude and unruly customers in the fast food industry. And some of the conversations she has had would be enough to make even a saint snap.

In a clip uploaded to the platform titled: "Living the McFantasy," Abbie re-enacts difficult conversations with customers. She starts with the ever-controversial breakfast menu and its strict timings.

Reflecting on a conversation between herself and a customer, Abbie reveals a customer said something along the lines of: "Hiya, I've just come through the drive through and all of my breakfast food is cold," with Abbie replying: "Right, it's half past 11 - there's not much I can do for you breakfast wise."

The customer snapped back: "I just want my food remade, I don't know what's so hard about that," but Abbie insisted it wasn't that simple. She went on: "We switched everything over now, so we're on main menu. We haven't got any breakfast."

A tit for tat ensued which ended up in Abbie offering the customer a Happy Meal while the customer insisted: "Now my kids are going to starve, because of you. Because of you now, my kids aren't going to eat their breakfast."

Elsewhere in the video, Abbie detailed other strange queries, from customers turning up to the wrong store to complain about delivery services - to parents asking for a toy switch in their kids' Happy Meals, despite the shop not having any of the others in stock.

And in the comments section of her clip, Tik Tokers resonated with Abbies struggles. One wrote: "I feel like if everyone had to do 2 years at maccies the world would be a more respectful place," while another, added: "People actually do this aswell..feel the pain lol..common sense people x."

A horrified third asked: "Do people genuinely say 'my kids are gonna starve because of you?'" while someone else, replied: "It's ALWAYSSSS 'my kids are gonna starve'."
