The wait is over, the Chicken Big Mac has finally landed onto UK menus today and the excitement is real.
It’s surprisingly taken a long time for the Chicken Big Mac to arrive at McDonald's, and we’re sincerely hoping the wait has been worth it.
Already a staple item on the menu in Australia, McDonald’s fans are very keen to try the new burger.

We managed to get our hands on one on the day of its launch to give it the ultimate taste test.
Here’s what we thought about the brand new Chicken Big Mac.
The look
Aesthetically, it looked good, it wasn’t particularly messy like the McPlant burger appeared and looked generally appetising.
Of course, it’s important to note that the McDonald’s burgers never really look like the adverts, but everybody knows that anyway.
As I lifted the bun I saw a golden crispy chicken fillet, shredded lettuce, plenty of cheese, Big Mac sauce and the same again for a second layer.
The bun is a classic soft sesame seeded bun and it was a reasonably decent temperature too which is always a bonus.
The taste
I’m a bit of a Big Mac lover, and the thought of having that in chicken form sounded very tasty.
Before tasting the burger, in my head I told myself it would probably resemble a mayo chicken with Big Mac sauce - and I was right.
After a large (and messy) bite of the burger, I got a strong taste of crispy chicken instantly, followed by the classic sauce flavour.
Now, I’m not usually one for gherkins, I think they’re the devil, but this time I actually tolerated them. I’d even go as far to say that they complemented the burger, along with the shredded lettuce.
For those who don’t mind the sauces and added extras, the Chicken Big Mac is super tasty.
However, if you’re someone who prefers a plain burger with no sauce, I can imagine it being a little dry.
As a whole, it was a real treat to get my hands on a Chicken Big Mac, I think it tasted so good because it was different, and not something I’m usually used to.
It had that classic Big Mac sauce taste with a good crunch of crispy chicken, and I’m so here for it.
The combination of cheese and chicken might be weird for some, and I totally get that, but I enjoyed it.
