McDonald's has announced it's bringing back six fan favourites to its reduced menu.
The fast food chain has been running a limited menu throughout the coronavirus pandemic, but will make more items available following a short test earlier this month.
Among the new returning items are the Chicken Legend range and apple pie, which McDonald's say have been the most frequently requested "missing items" from the menu.
The Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese, which proved incredibly popular in August 2019, returns for the long-haul and is available for £4.29 thanks to the government’s VAT reduction.
Carrot sticks also make a welcome return to the menu and enable customers to have a lunchtime treat for under £2 and less than 600 calories.
Coffee fans can choose from the Millionaire's donut and toffee latte.
The full list of items being added to the McDonald's menu on Thursday, August 13:
- Double quarter pounder with cheese
- Chicken Legend - returning with all three flavours; cool mayo, spicy and BBQ
- Apple pie
- Toffee latte
- Millionaire’s donut
- Carrot sticks
McDonald's is also currently offering half-price meals on the Eat Out to Help scheme.
The scheme, which began this week, offers cut price food between Monday and Wednesday at participating restaurants throughout August.
Customers have seen some McDonald's items drop dramatically in price, with a Big Mac now £1.69 and hamburgers coming in at 44p.
McDonald's re-opened its restaurants in June, following months of lockdown which saw eateries closed to fans across the country.
