Fast food giant McDonald's is adding no fewer than five new items to its menu from next Tuesday, March 29.
The brand-new Steakhouse Stack will go up against the popular Chicken Big Mac, which sold out in less than 10 days when it was on the burger giant's menu last year. Also making a comeback are the ever-popular mozzarella dippers and Easter favourites - the Creme Egg and the Caramel Egg McFlurry.
The Chicken Big Mac is a twist on the classic Big Mac with its recognisable triple layered bun – plus two chicken breast patties in a crispy coating, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles, and the iconic Big Mac sauce. The burger caused a stir when it debuted in February last year and fans will get another chance to try it next week, at £4.49 on its own and £6.09 as a meal.

If beef is more your thing, the all new Steakhouse Stack burger will be joining the menu for the first time. The new addition is made up of two beef patties, a slice of cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions, and lettuce topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce, all in a toasted bun. The Steakhouse stack costs £5.39 by itself or £6.99 as a meal.
McDonald's head of marketing Thomas O’Neill said: “We are excited to bring the Chicken Big Mac back to the UK and Ireland. It sold out in under a week last year so we know so many people will be as delighted as we are that it’s returning this Spring. The Steakhouse Stack is another fantastic development from our menu team, the taste of steak and peppercorn sauce captured perfectly in this newest addition to our menu – delicious!”
Mozzarella dippers are also making a comeback, three in a pack, each coated in breadcrumbs and served with salsa dip. Completing the line-up are seasonal stalwarts the Creme Egg and the Caramel Egg McFlurry.
Fans who want to taste the new and returning favourites on the menu will have to be quick as they they're usually only around for six weeks. To make way for the new additions, five items are also being removed from the menu from March 29.
