As we approach the start of a new year, McDonald's is getting ready to scrap its festive menu and bring in a brand new burger.
McDonald's will begin to roll out the new Double McPlant across all restaurants in the UK & Ireland from Wednesday, January 4. It comes following the previous release of the McPlant which has become popular among those looking for a vegan-friendly option on the fast-food menu.
The double McPlant will go on sale for £4.89 or £6.49 if you want it as part of a meal. Some users on Twitter were excited to hear of the new vegan item.

All I want is the option to have two patties. this is the important stuff I need addressed.” Another fan said: "I have said on many occasions that the McPlant has changed my life, but if there were to be a double McPlant? I can only imagine”.
However, the coming of a new item means the going of many more. Six items will be taken off the McDonald's menu which includes the following:

The Double McPlant is vegan-certified and cooked separately from other McDonald's burgers which contain meat.
