Floyd Mayweather stages his latest boxing exhibition as he returns to Japan tonight.
The iconic former five-weight, 15-time world champion is up against Mikuru Asakura, a YouTuber and mixed martial artist who competes in the Rizin Fighting Federation.
This is a three-round affair which Mayweather claims will see him earn in excess of $20million, with knockouts allowed but a no-contest ruled if it lasts the distance.
‘Money’ produced a demolition job on his last visit to Japan, dropping kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa three times en route to an emphatic first-round stoppage that left his opponent in tears.
He has taken his foot off the gas in exhibitions since then, going the distance in no-contests against both internet celebrity Logan Paul and former sparring partner Don Moore.
Next on Mayweather’s agenda is a clash with KSI’s brother Deji in November, while he wants to meet UFC superstar Conor McGregor in a competitive rematch next year.
