Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, visited the famous Riley's Fish Shack in Tynemouth this weekend on a recent trip up North.
In a post shared to Instagram, the Mayor said Riley's Fish Shack was one of his favourite places and that the food was 'fantastic'.
Khan was pictured on the beach enjoying the Tyneside sunshine wearing a pair of shades outside the popular eatery.

The widely-acclaimed restaurant based at King Edward's Bay in Tynemouth has been named one of the best beach shack places to eat in the UK
Last year, the internationally renowned Condé Nast Traveller magazine has said it as one of the 12 best beach shack restaurants in the whole of the UK. Other shacks on the list come from as far afield as Cornwall down south and the Hebrides up north in Scotland.
