A highly competitive women’s flyweight matchup is set for an upcoming UFC event in March.
Maycee Barber will face Andrea Lee at a yet-to-be-announced March 25 event. MMA Junkie confirmed the targeted matchup following an initial report from MMA Fighting. A location and venue have not been announced by the UFC.
Barber (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) will look to make it four straight wins with her first matchup of 2023. The 24-year-old’s current streak includes decision wins over Miranda Maverick, Montana De La Rosa and Jessica Eye.
Looking to derail her momentum and get back in the win column will be Lee (13-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC), who enters off a unanimous decision loss to Viviane Araujo. Prior to the setback, Lee, 33, scored back-to-back stoppages of Antonina Shevchenko and Cynthia Calvillo.
This matchup is the first reported booking for the March 25 card. Stay tuned to MMA Junkie for more updates on this event.
