Maya Jama has hit out at social media users after TV viewers moaned about her displaying too much of her cleavage.
The former Radio 1DJ, 25, who dressed in a floral mini-dress that featured a square neckline and puff sleeve shoulders on Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer on BBC One on Saturday night, was targeted by keyboard warriors claiming they were offended by her outfit choice.
Proving that the confident star was not having any of it she responded to Twitter users who made the sly remarks and blasted viewers for 'hyper sexualising' her body.
In response to a micro-blogger who remarked that Maya's ensemble made them feel "awkward", the star hit back by typing on Twitter: "I appreciate your concern. I am able and allowed to dress how I please. 'If you feel uncomfortable by my boobs sitting in my dress that's on you sis."
She added: "We're all fighting for equality and similar treatment to our male counterparts. Don't let the side down by hyper sexualising my bod. If you're uncomfortable with my boobs that's on you."
Another troll commented on Maya's size and branded her "ridiculously obese".
Bashing the troll back, Maya replied: "Loool but Andy you look like you p*** ash, please focus on your own vitamin intake."
Maya explained that she wanted to show the nasty comments from people on Twitter to highlight "that people are MAD" on the site.
She added: "Sometimes I retweet trolls not for sympathy or for you guys to get at them but just to remind you that people are MAD on here.
"If someones gone out the way to be mean to a stranger unprovoked it’s a reflection on them not you, i laugh at it now cause I’m used to it."
A number of viewers were fond of Maya co-hosting Peter Crouch's new TV show and shared their admiration for the beauty online.
One fan gushed: "Can I just state maya I’m perfectly okay with your attire. Keep up the good work."
Another echoed: "I loved the dress maya keep up the good work."
A third chimed: "Just watched last night's show and thought the dress and boots combo was gorgeous! Lovely print and neckline! Now searching the online clothing stores for something similar for myself!"
*Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer continues on Saturday at 9:15pm on BBC One.
