Maya Jama could be running on empty while dealing with an early work start following a sensational turn hosting the Brit Awards.
The 27-year-old stunned at the 2022 ceremony that was hosted in London on Tuesday night – where she was seen pouring out drinks as well as helming the awards.
But there is no time to rest for the hard working presenter as she revealed she was back in a make-up chair just hours after the show was over.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday morning, Maya shared a live update just seven hours after she had been sharing videos of herself at the O2.
Panning her camera around a bust make-up room, the star wrote: “Annnnnd the work continues lol Top of the bludclart morning.”
Her early start happened after one friend had branded Maya the "Brits resident bar maid" while sharing a photo of her pouring glasses of alcohol at the awards show.
While other photos and videos from the night showed Maya clutching a champagne flute while relaxing between live presenting segments.
Far from looking downcast about being up and at it just hours after wowing fans at the Brits, Maya flashed her winning smile and looked ready to take on another day in her early morning make-up chair Instagram Stories video.
On Tuesday night, the TV host practically set the Brit’s red carpet ablaze as she arrived wearing an attention grabbing outfit by fashion label Monot – while dripping in jewels by Bulgari.
Sharing photos of her red carpet look on Instagram the morning after the event, Maya explained: “Cher was the inspo.”
Meanwhile, during the ceremony itself, Maya changed into an equally head-turning red outfit while she hosted the awards alongside comedian Mo Gilligan.
While music and musicians were the focus of the night, Mo did seize a moment to grill Maya about her romantic life during the course of the evening.
Drawing attention to speculation that Maya is engaged to Australian basketball player Ben Simmons, Mo said: “Maya though, I can't have you here without talking about that amazing rock on your finger. Listen, that is the size of a small studio, bedroom flat in London, I'm telling you. It looks fantastic though, you're working it.”
Desperately swerving the conversation, Maya replied: “Maya though, I can't have you here without talking about that amazing rock on your finger. Listen, that is the size of a small studio, bedroom flat in London, I'm telling you. It looks fantastic though, you're working it.”
While Maya appeared to be fair game, Mo said he wouldn’t take pot shots at musicians while hosting the awards.
In a pre-Brits interview with the Evening Standard, he said: “A lot of musicians, I know them personally, they are friends. I don’t want to lose any friendships at the expense of a few jokes.
"I’m excited to be among musicians. Hopefully they accept me as one of their own. Because I’m from the world of comedy they might think, ‘Mo’s going to get me!’”
