Forget less is more. Swarovski is going for maximalist glamour this festive season. Wearing multiple pieces amplifies the luminosity of crystals to steal the limelight at Christmas or New Year parties.
Styling starts from stars, and many twinkle in the jewellery ensemble. Stella clip earrings cascade down with crystal-studded stars while stud earrings and pendant are centred by a blue stone that stands out against mixed-cut crystals.
The everyday Constella pieces are more delicate with crystal constellations set on thin metal bars. With a round or princess-cut centre stone, the cocktail ring further sparkles with elegant pavé on the gallery and along the band while another version features a square-cut stone in a double-prong setting.
Swarovski's lavish styling include adorning fingers with more than one ring, layering necklaces in different lengths and style, as well as stacking bracelets.
Also, bigger is better with oversized stones illuminating the Millenia pieces, such as a bracelet crafted from trilliant cut crystals, geometric hoop earrings formed from a circle of octagon-cut crystals, and open ring holding two trilliant cut clear crystals at each end.
Inspired by "mathemagical" patterns, the Hyperbola choker features black and clear stones in a mix of contemporary cuts. Likewise, the monochrome ring and clip earrings are fashioned with black and white stones lending a graphic pattern.
Both the Millenia and Hyperbola jewellery were designed by Giovanna Engelbert for her debut spring/summer 2021 collection. Appointed creative director in May 2020, she opened a new chapter by changing brand identity and retail concept.
Her vision for Swarovski, founded in 1895, materialised under the Wonderlab concept and the Instant Wonder stores.
This year, the holiday jewellery, besides making a statement, can be wrapped up as sparkling gifts under the "Open The Wonder" campaign starring Bella Hadid.
