Max Parker may be waving goodbye to Emmerdale after two years, but the soap star has no intention of leaving his on-screen brother and boyfriend Kris Mochrie.
The much-loved actor, who plays Luke Posner in the ITV soap, found love with Kris while on set last year and the lovebirds appear to have gone from strength-to-strength ever since.
Although speculation surrounded the smitten pair for months prior to their official announcement, both Max and Kris denied any romance rumours until they decided the time was right.
In September 2020, the on-screen brothers turned lovers went Instagram official while on a romantic getaway together.
At the time, an excited Max filmed himself and Kris cosying up to one another on the plane prior to take-off.

And upon their arrival at their holiday destination, Max posted another video of their shared hotel room before posting a string of loved-up holiday selfies to Instagram.
Max and Kris are believed to have enjoyed a string of romantic dates before confirming their relationship after an ‘instantly connecting’ on the Emmerdale set.
“They met on Kris’ last day filming and just hit it off,” a source told The Sun at the time.
“They were cast as brothers and are really alike and have been joking that casting did a great job.

“The boys kept in touch after Kris finished on the show but they’ve spent a lot of time together over summer.”
Since then, Max and Kris have taken some milestone steps in their relationship.
Last year, the couple moved into a luxury penthouse apartment in Manchester.
The lovebirds documented their move on social media, sharing updates and glimpses into their love nest – much to the delight of their curious fans.

Max and Kris recently returned home from a romantic getaway in Portugal as Covid travel restrictions eased slightly.
Kris portrayed rapist Lee Posner, who was killed off after Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) sought revenge on behalf of sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins).
Lee died of injuries sustained in this attack, but the arrival of his mum Wendy (Susan Cookson) resulted in Lee’s brother, Luke — portrayed by Max — becoming a permanent fixture on Emmerdale.
Now, Max has also called time on his Emmerdale stint.
Lifting the lid on his departure, a TV insider told The Sun: “Max was never going to stay on the soap for years.
“He’s ambitious and a talented guy - he’s already auditioning for new roles and excited for the future.
“But never say never - there’s always a chance he could return one day.”
