Max Homa, like many young golfers, grew up idolizing Tiger Woods. In 2013 after winning the NCAA title he fired off a tweet to the GOAT asking if he could play a practice round with him at the upcoming U.S. Open.
That never came to fruition and Homa, who has now won four times on the PGA Tour, has still never played a round with Tiger.
Well, that’s going to change in an amazing way this week as he’ll be playing the first and second round of the 150th Open Championship at the Old Course in St. Andrews with Tiger freaking Woods.
How cool is that?
Homa, who’s easily one of the nicest people in professional sports, had the perfect tweet after getting that news:
I’m playing with Tiger Woods at the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews. Hey golf gods, we’re even. Can’t believe this is real and ya it’s corny but who cares I’m playing with the freakin 🐐 #golf #PVO

Homa is just the best.
Here’s his tweet from 2013:
@TigerWoods just won PAC 12s, NCAA championship, and qualified for the us open. Any chance I can get a practice round with u?? #hero

Homa has built a huge following on social media by just being himself while having lots of fun with his fans and breaking down their swings in hilarious videos.
