Max George hits back at Ulrika Jonsson after Maisie Smith 'attention seeking' jibe

Max George has hit back at Ulrika Jonsson, after she labelled his girlfriend Maisie Smith self-indulgent and attention seeking.

Ulrika hit out at the EastEnders actress after she shared a video of herself crying on TikTok, sparking speculation that she and The Wanted's Max had split up.

However later it was clear the pair are still going strong as she shared photos from a couple's holiday, leaving Ulrika unimpressed with the antics.

However, Max, clearly wanted to show The former Gladiator star that he didn't give a fig about her opinion, sticking up his middle finger in a lift selfie shared on his Instagram, and writing: "Just for you Ulrika".

The singer had a knowing smile on his face as he posed for the selfie.

Maisie uploaded a compilation video of her in tears, accompanied by the song Evergreen (You Didn't Deserve Me At All) by Omar Apollo.

Maisie - best known for playing Tiffany Butcher on EastEnders - was seen with tears running down her cheeks and wiping her eyes leaving fans concerned.

Later, the pair posed together during what they called a 'baecation'.

Max looked smart in a white polo top, beige trousers and black Converse-style trainers with white laces.

Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie, meanwhile, wore a stunning animal print midi dress and red heels.

As both Max and Maisie shared the images, they captioned the snap: "Baecation," indicating they're away on a romantic trip.

It wasn't their outfits that caught the eyes of fans as some beady-eyed followers noticed Maisie appeared to be wearing a sparking oval-shaped ring on her wedding finger.

One asked: "Is that an engagement ring?"

"I thought the same," another replied. While a third quizzed: "Is that a ring? On your RING FINGER?!"

Writing in her Sun column, Ulrika says it stinks of the boy that cried wolf.

"I certainly can’t imagine reaching for my phone mid-personal drama to ensure I captured my tearful moment for people to see," she said.

"Surely, sadness, mourning, personal trauma or grieving is something private – not something you milk?

"It also exploits the loyalty and goodwill of her fans, who clearly care deeply about her. Maisie Smith bawling on TikTok is so self-indulgent and attention seeking."

The couple confirmed their romance as they went Instagram official in early September, as Maisie was poised to make her debut on Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins.

In his first post about Maisie he shared a promotional snap of her from the programme and wrote: "You're my winner already," followed by a love heart.

The pair first sparked rumours they were in a secret romance as they were spotted kissing on a flight in Crete in August.
