Max George and Maisie Smith spark engagement rumours during romantic getaway

Max George and Maisie Smith have sparked rumours they're engaged as they posted photos from their romantic getaway.

The Wanted singer Max, 34, and former EastEnders actress Maisie, 21, posed up a storm in photos posted to both their Instagram pages.

Max looked smart in a white polo top, beige trousers and black Converse-style trainers with white laces.

Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie, meanwhile, wore a stunning animal print midi dress and red heels.

As both Max and Maisie shared the images, they captioned the snap: "Baecation," indicating they're away on a romantic trip.

But, it wasn't their outfits that caught the eyes of fans as some beady-eyed followers noticed Maisie appeared to be wearing a sparking oval-shaped ring on her wedding finger.

One asked: "Is that an engagement ring?"

"I thought the same," another replied. While a third quizzed: "Is that a ring? On your RING FINGER?!"

It comes just days after Max and Maisie sparked concerns amongst fans they had split, as the actress shared a video of herself crying on TikTok.

The emotional clip showed Maisie crying and wiping her eyes. Such scenes were set to lyrics like: "You didn't deserve me at all", as the song Evergreen (You Didn't Deserve Me At All) by Omar Apollo played.

Fans soon shared their concerns in the comments of the post as one wrote: "They've broken up?" Another questioned: "Did you break up?" Whilst one viewer speculated to a friend: "Think they've split".

Many fans however dispelled the rumour, stating that the caption of the post highlighted that the emotional content was referencing a past relationship, not her new romance as she wrote: "Nothing but happiness these days".

Later Maisie and Max put on a loved-up display as they locked lips while catching a flight together.

The couple confirmed their romance as they went Instagram official in early September, as Maisie was poised to make her debut on Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins.

In his first post about Maisie he shared a promotional snap of her from the programme and wrote: "You're my winner already," followed by a love heart.

The pair first sparked rumours they were in a secret romance as they were spotted kissing on a flight in Crete in August.

Max had previously dated Stacey Giggs (Max George/Instagram)

Since 2018 Max had previously been in a relationship with Stacey Giggs, whom he split from earlier this year before reuniting shortly after Tom Parker's tragic death.

However, it was reported they had split for good at the beginning of August as a source told The Sun: "Max and Stacey are no longer together.

"They had a great relationship but as time passed, they realised it wasn’t to be."

Meanwhile, Maisie was previously linked to her EastEnders co-star Zack Morris, who played Maisie's character Tiffany's on-screen husband Keegan Baker.

But, in December last year the actress insisted they were just pals. She explained: "Me and Zack worked every single day together, so we built such a nice friendship and we meet up.

"Because he's the opposite sex, people just jump to conclusions that we are an item. We're actually just good friends."
