The rumours regarding Mauricio Pochettino returning to the Premier League are refusing to go away.
The 49-year-old's last job in England was at Tottenham, where he spent five years between 2014 and 2019 before being relieved of his duties after a poor start to the 2019/20 season.
Pochettino spent just over 12 months without a job in football before Paris Saint-Germain approached him over the vacant role in their dugout following the departure of Thomas Tuchel.
Ever since he took over in the French capital, there has been mass speculation about a return to England - with Manchester United appearing the likeliest to bring him back to British shores.
So, with all of this being said, football.london has rounded up the very latest updates regarding Pochettino and a possible return to England.
PSG agreement 'close'
According to a report from 90Min, Pochettino and PSG are 'nearing an understanding' that will see the manager leave his position at the end of the season.
With Man United sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November, the club then appointed Ralf Rangnick on a short-term deal as they look to find a permanent solution to their problems.
Pochettino is the clear favourite to land the job at Old Trafford and this latest report, suggesting he will leave PSG, seems to point at the Argentine going to Manchester to take over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
Tottenham return
Prior to Nuno Espirito Santo being appointed as Tottenham boss over the summer, the north London club appeared keen to bring Pochettino back.
football.london reported back in May of last year that the PSG boss was open to returning to Spurs, however, the necessary parties could not find an agreement.
Espirito Santo was instead appointed, but his reign as manager only lasted until November before Antonio Conte was chosen as his successor.
Leonardo's stance
PSG's sporting director, Leonardo, when speaking in late-November of last year, reaffirmed the French club's commitment to Pochettino.
He said to AFP, via the Mirror: "We do not want Pochettino to leave. He never asked to leave and no club contacted us in relation to him.
"We have lots of respect for Zinedine Zidane (rumoured to be of interest to PSG), for what he did as a player and coach, but I can affirm very clearly that there was no contact or meeting with him.
"It is ridiculous to imagine that a meeting with Zidane could have taken place in a big hotel, in Paris, in front of the world."
