New priorities
Chelsea are getting their work done quickly this summer with eight players already close to leaving the club. In order to boost the finances and cut down on their massive squad, speedy business is necessary.
As well as the shipment of four players heading to Saudi Arabia, the Blues are also closing in on the sale of Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City and Kai Havertz to Arsenal whilst AC Milan are still in talks to buy Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
After activating the release clause of Nicolas Jackson, the next steps for the Blues is now set to be concluding the future of Mason Mount, who is closing in on a move to Manchester United, as well as stepping up their efforts to buy Moises Caicedo.

Caicedo boost
Chelsea are not only set to receive a massive transfer windfall from the sales of their underperforming and overpaid players this summer, they will also benefit from the reduction of wages.
With some of the clubs top earners looking set to be on their way out, Chelsea will massively see the strain eased on their budget as well as opening up the chance to move towards a new reward structure.

With Joao Felix and Denis Zakaria also not extending their loans and the three remaining years on Kalidou Koulibaly's contract set to go unfulfilled, the Blues will save themselves a massive £102million over the next three seasons. This is all money that they can plan to put towards Caicedo.

Cesar Azpilicueta to leave
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta is set to leave the club this summer. After 11 years at the club he has agreed personal terms with Inter and will not see out the remainder of his contract at Stamford Bridge, Fabrizio Romano writes.
The 33-year-old was expected to depart last year but had a late U-turn and committed to an extra two years at SW6. However, with mass changes afoot and his minutes dwindling, he is now off to pastures new.
It is said that Azpilicueta will have his contract terminated in order to make a move to Italy as seamless as possible. It does, however pose a question as to who the new club captain will be.
