Mauricio Pochettino has three Dusan Vlahovic alternatives as Chelsea prepare £130 transfer plan

Chelsea are in need of a rework of their firepower in the final third over the summer. The Blues have been disappointing in nearly all areas throughout the 2022/23 campaign, but the issues in attack are possibly the most alarming.

With two games of the season left, Chelsea have scored 36 goals in 36 games. The lack of a clinical number nine has proved critical in their performances on the pitch, with Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter losing their job in the process.

Recent reports have claimed the west Londoners had made a £70 million bid for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, which was quickly rebuffed. Juve's chief football officer, Francesco Calvo, has since insisted the Serbian isn't for sale this summer, meaning Todd Boehly will have to spend his millions elsewhere.

With that being the case, football.london takes a look at three strikers Chelsea could sign instead of Vlahovic.

Victor Osimhen

After his superb season with Napoli, Osimhen is the most in-demand striker in world football. He scored 28 goals in all competitions for the Serie A champions and looks set to be linked with a move away for the majority of the summer.

football.london understands the 24-year-old is very much liked by Chelsea. But with no European football to provide to the Nigerian, they may struggle to convince him to switch Naples for London.

Recent reports from Florian Plettenberg claim the Blues are continuing to push for his services, but will have to cough up £130 million to bring him to Stamford Bridge. An expensive option, but certainly one who will solve Chelsea's goal scoring issue.

Harry Kane

Maybe the most obvious on this list. Harry Kane, like Osimhen, is expected to be involved in a transfer saga of his own this summer amid uncertainty over his future at Tottenham.

The England captain worked under Pochettino at Spurs, scoring the majority of his goals for the north Londoners under his management. This season, despite Tottenham's poor season, Kane has scored 30 goals in 48 appearances - becoming Spurs' all-time record goalscorer.

However, with his contract expiring at the end of next season, Kane could be on the move this summer. Man United have been heavily linked with the striker, but Chelsea could use the advantage of Pochettino to bring the 29-year-old to Stamford Bridge.

Randal Kolo Muani

Kane isn't the only striker attracting interest from Man United and Chelsea. Eintracht Frankfurt's Kolo Muani has enjoyed a successful debut season in Germany after signing from Nantes.

The France international has scored 22 goals and assisted another 16 in 44 games, with only Werder Bremen's Niclas Fullkrug outscoring him in the Bundesliga.

One advantage in Kolo Muani's case is that Frankfurt are on course to miss out on European football this season, meaning they will truly miss the financial benefits. Should Kane or Osimhen be deemed too expensive, the 24-year-old may be the next best option.
