Your morning Chelsea transfer round-up on Wednesday, May 31.
Caicedo promise
Chelsea have been handed a huge boost to their chances of signing Moises Caicedo this summer. The 21-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with an exit from Brighton in January but a move failed to materialise.
Roberto De Zerbi appears to have accepted that Caicedo will leave in the summer, with the Blues among those who are interested in his signature. That's because he promised the Ecuadorian in January that he would be sold in the summer if a 'good propsosal' is made, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The report states that Brighton will respect the pact De Zerbi and Caicedo made. While this is a huge boost for the Blues, Mauricio Pochettino reportedly faces tough competition from several clubs.

Zakaria verdict
Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly decided whether or not he wants Denis Zakaria to stay at Chelsea. The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Blues on loan from Juventus, arriving with an option-to-buy clause in his contract which is thought to be worth £26million.
Despite having impressed when called upon, Zakaria was starved of opportunities in the starting lineup. The Switzerland international featured just 13 times for the west Londoners across all competitions, averaging 55 minutes an appearance.
Under Frank Lampard, he was omitted from the matchday squad on several occasions, playing just once. And, with Pochettino at the helm, he faces a similar fate; according to Fabrizio Romano, the Swiss is not in his plans.

Ugarte swap deal
According to Portuguese outlet Record, Chelsea are willing to offer £62million – plus £4million in add-ons – for Manuel Ugarte. The report adds that the Blues have discussed the idea of loaning David Datro Fofana to Sporting CP as part of the proposal in a bid to beat PSG to a deal.
Chelsea are looking to move on a number of players this summer and if Sporting are not interested in Fofana, the west Londoners could offer a wealth of other players instead. Using unwanted players as part of a deal to bring in targets that Pochettino has identified could be a smart way Boehly can trim the squad and add more quality to the team.
