Mauricio Pochettino has dropped a hint over a return to Tottenham in the future, claiming he would like a return to the Premier League. It comes over three-years since he was dismissed by Spurs, despite seemingly overachieving and reaching a Champions League final with the club.
The Argentinian coach waited for his next opportunity, joining PSG in 2021 where he won three trophies in his tenure in charge. However, it simply wasn't to be in the French capital - where Pochettino played as a player too - as he was dismissed in the summer of 2022 for a change in direction.
Since then, he has remained unemployed, continuing potential links over a switch back to North London should the post become available. As for Spurs, plenty has changed since the former boss left, bringing in Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and finally Antonio Conte.

The Italian manager joined halfway through last season and managed an unlikely top four finish to earn Champions League football for his side. They've managed to progress beyond the group stages and sit in the top four of the Premier League by the World Cup break, but there is still unrest.
Conte has been criticised for his style of play, with some victories bringing difficult performances to watch alongside them. There's also the small matter of his contract, which expires in the summer and could see him leave the club if he is not fully backed to see his project develop.
"At this moment, I’m really happy," Conte said on the situation in late September. "I don’t want to push the club about the situation because it’s not the right time. We have just started the season and we have a long time to live together and to understand, to continue to work together."
Should the Italian walk away from the club, the search for another manager mid-project will have to begin and Spurs will undoubtedly be linked with a return for Pochettino. In an interview with TalkSPORT, he may have dropped the biggest hint yet of a switch back: "I miss the Premier League.
"Why not (return to manage in England)? We are open. I love England, I love living in London and Barcelona. And of course if that possibility (to return) appears for sure we will consider taking it."
