Maura Higgins seemingly knew about Molly-Mae Hague 's pregnancy before a lot of people!
The former Love Island star, 31, took to her Instagram Stories earlier today [September 25] to share a series of clips of her pregnant pal Molly-Mae having a scan - just hours after the PrettyLittleThing Creative Director and her boyfriend Tommy Fury announced the news they are expecting their first child together.
Captioning black-and-white footage of Molly-Mae looking emotional during her scan, Irish star Maura wrote: "The most precious day meeting you....@mollymae and @tommyfury you're going to be the most amazing parents."
Maura - who briefly pursued Tommy during their time on Love Island in 2019 - then went to share another clip from Molly-Mae's trip to the doctors on her Instagram Stories, in which viewers could see a close up of the ultrasound image giving a sneak peek of Molly-Mae's unborn baby.
"Love you so much already," the former Dancing On Ice contestant gushed online, before going on to share Molly-Mae and Tommy's post announcing their happy news to her Instagram Stories, adding the caption: "CRYING."
Molly-Mae and Tommy both shared the news on their respective Instagram pages, with a video of Molly-Mae saying "I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet" from her finale speech during their time on the reality show that first introduced them to each other.
The video then panned to the happy couple holding Molly-Mae’s baby bump and embracing one another. The couple's celebrity pals were quick to congratulate the pair, with fellow Love Island star Georgia Steel commenting: "Wow sooooo beautiful."
Maura was also quick to comment on her friend's huge Instagram update, writing: "AND THERE WE GO IM CRYING AGAIN!!!!!!LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH."
Despite being close pals now, Molly-Mae and Maura were once briefly love rivals - thanks to the Irish beauty taking a shine to Tommy during their early days in the Love Island villa back in 2019.
Writing in her memoir earlier this year, Molly-Mae reflected on the time period when her now-best friend fancied her current boyfriend.
"Of course on Love Island she was interested in Tommy for a bit, but there is no issue there," the bestselling author wrote regarding her friendship with Maura.
"After Tommy started getting closer with me, she said to me: 'Look, I'll never go near him again in that way, you know', and ever since then we've been best friends."
She continued to explain how she often visits the Glow Up presenter in Essex, and adds how she and Tommy are actually really good friends.
"They're like brother and sister - they make fun of each other 24.7," Molly-Mae adds, before revealing she often gets a lot of questions about how she can be comfortable with their friendship.
"When you have a friend like Maura you have that complete trust," she added, putting an end to a comments about the situation.
