Maura Higgins appeared to take a swipe at her ex Pete Wicks as she enjoyed a Valentine’s Day outing just days after confirming their split.
The Love Island presenter recently parted ways with The Only Way Is Essex star Wicks following a New Year’s Eve outing.
Higgins was spotted at Sheesh restaurant in London on Friday night with friends when a paparazzo from The Sun asked about Wicks’ whereabouts.
“Dunno, probably cheating,” she responded coolly in a video that has since surfaced.
Higgins wore a red mini dress adorned with rose motifs and was photographed getting into a taxi with her friend, stylist Carl Bembridge.
The 34-year-old is reportedly said to have sent herself flowers on Valentine’s Day.
Meanwhile, Wicks was spotted out with his mother in Essex, wearing a baseball cap emblazoned with the words “smoke and mirrors.”
The pair had been together for several months and spent the festive season in Higgins’s native Ireland. They had previously been friends for six years.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Maura was suspicious of Pete and whether he might have been messing her around. There’s been some rows over trust.
“Although they have both been coy about their relationship, she really liked him and saw a future.”
Wicks recently came fifth on Strictly while partnered with Polish professional Jowita Przystał.
Higgins was a finalist on Love Island in 2019 and has since presented various shows, including Love Island USA: Aftersun.
She has also lived in Essex since competing on Dancing on Ice in 2020.
