Maura Higgins has sparked rumours of a celebrity feud after deciding not to attend the Fashion Awards on Monday after she labelled her out 'inappropriate'.
The Love Island star, 32, is known for her sexy and racy fashion sense - but admitted that she was uncomfortable wearing her own outfit and pulled out of the prestigious event last minute after she admitted she left her outfit solely in the hands of her designer.
Dubbing her fashion mishap as a 'nightmare, the Irish star said that she had had 'zero control' over her custom-made gown as she took to her Instagram Stories on Monday.
"BFA tonight... first time to have zero control on my outfit... excited to see what @scott_henshall has designed for me," the Love Island star shared.
Designer Scott Henshall, who is the former creative director of Mulberry, reshared the post on his own Instagram Stories with a heart emoji.
However, just a couple of hours later, Maura updated fans on why she hadn't yet posted any photos of herself on the red carpet.
While donning a very low-cut strappy silver dress, Maura told her fans: "I've had a bit of a nightmare. So obviously you can see I am fully ready. Glam team are on point as usual. Basically.... the dress, the shoes, everything wasn't something I'd wear.
"I don't really know what to say, it's like, I just feel it's not very appropriate for the Fashion Awards. I obviously do like to go daring, you guys know that, but I just feel, I don't know. It's just not right. So yeah, I've decided not to go. I'm still in the hotel as you can see."
Designer Scott is a genius when it comes red carpet glam, and on the night, he also dressed Dame Kelly Holmes, Karen Millen OBE, Lady Victoria Hervey, Jude Law's daughter Iris and Talulah-Eve.
Fans now feel that Maura's decision not to attend the awards because of her daring dress could easily spark a feud between her and the designer - as well as the other famous faces who Scott dressed on the night.
"If I was him, I'd be livid. That's such a slap in the face," one Twitter user shared.
"All of the other stars like Iris Law showed up in the gowns. I'm Sorry but Maura has definitely wore more risqué outfits in her time. Feels a bit weird. Maybe they had a falling out," another suggested.
"Maura not attending the event of the year doesn't make sense over a low-cut dress? She's always wearing low-cut things," someone else insisted.
While a fourth argued: "Gosh, maybe she just wasn't comfortable. It's not that deep."
The Mirror has reached out to Maura's representatives for further comment.
