Maura Higgins says she has lost a stone in weight after being bedbound and unable to eat for days due to a nasty illness.
The Longford born Love Island star said she has been ‘living off cereal’ all week after coming down with a sickness over the weekend.
“I don’t think I have ever been so unwell,” she said.
Posting a picture of a bubble bath, the 31-year-old added: “After three full days in bed, I finally have the energy to wash myself. (Disgusting I know).”
The model took to social media to explain her absence in recent days, and asked fans for advice on what to eat while she is home alone and feeling so sick.
Posting a picture of a bowl of Coco Pops cereal in bed, she asked: “For those of you who live on your own, what do you eat when you are too ill to cook?
“I’ve been living off cereal.”
She went on to post a video speaking to the camera and said: “This is the first time for me to be out of bed in I don’t know how long.
“And if you are wondering what that noise is, it is a fan, because the sweat that is protruding out through my body I can’t even explain.
“If I have not lost a stone from this illness, I’ll be shocked,” she added.
It comes after Maura was stunned at the weekend in a racy cut-out dress to an event during London Fashion Week.
The Ballymahon born star attended the Oh Polly show on Saturday.
