Maura Higgins asks if Pete Wicks is ‘still in’ Strictly after I’m A Celebrity

Former Love Island star Maura Higgins can be seen asking her friend whether romantic interest Pete Wicks is “still in” Strictly Come Dancing after leaving the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

The 34-year-old poses the question in clips of her being reunited with friends and family on Friday’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Coming Out show, where she is also seen going to skydive after being disappointed at not doing one on the show.

While travelling in a car, she asks her friend Talia: “Is Pete still in the show?”

“If you’re missing someone, you’re missing someone and it comes out. And I do, I miss him. Yeah, I really do miss him.”

The pair have been romantically linked for a while, and Wicks recently denied rumours of a romance between him and his Strictly professional dance partner Jowita Przystal, saying: “We have great chemistry because we’ve become such good friends.”

Later in the show, the campmates are seen reuniting after their time on the ITV reality show, but podcaster GK Barry announces that “someone isn’t here and that someone is Tulisa (Contostavlos, singer)” before reassuring them “fear not because I’ve got a message from her”.

The N-Dubz star then appears on screen and says: “Hello everybody, I’m so proud of you all, you’ve absolutely smashed it, now I want you to go and eat yourselves into an oblivion.

“I’m so sorry that I can’t be there so have a big old drink for me. I love you lots like jelly tots and I will see you soon.”

Radio presenters Melvin Odoom and Dean McCullough also addressed water controversies in camp, which saw Odoom accused of using too much to shower, and McCullough nicknamed “Houdini” by Odoom for disappearing when it was his time to collect water.

McCullough told Odoom he loved “how the whole Houdini popped off” adding that he thought “the memes were brilliant”.

To which Odoom replied: “I don’t think people realised why that happened, I was busy doing the water thing, I just wanted you to help so I was thinking I’m just going to drop this line with half the camp there, make everyone laugh.”

The Northern Irish presenter told Odoom “that upset me” and said he wished he had been told about it, to which Odoom said he was only trying to be humorous

Odoom said: “Me calling you Houdini was my way of telling you I need help, when we said, ‘let’s do the water’, I came up the steps and you were having a shower, when I came down you were folding your clothes by the bed, by the time I said, ‘Houdini’ that was me saying, ‘I need help’.”

To which McCullough says he would have preferred him to “just take me to the side”, Odoom replied telling him “don’t worry about it”.

At the end of their conversation, the pair walk away with their arms around each other.

The show also saw King Of The Jungle, McFly star Danny Jones, greeting his son Cooper after winning the show, telling him: “Daddy’s the King Of The Jungle.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Coming Out will air this Friday at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX.
