Volunteers are being sought for the Mauchline Holy Fair which takes place at the end of this month.
Organisers are expecting a crowd of around 15,000 to descend on the East Ayrshire town when the festivities kick off on Saturday, May 28.
The event was last held in 2019 but, since then, organisers were forced to shelve the celebrations in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic and restrictions over public gatherings.
With the country now starting to emerge from the pandemic, organisers hope this year’s showpiece can be the biggest and best yet.
A spokesperson for the organisers issued an appeal for helpers, saying: “Interested in helping out at East Ayrshire’s most exciting event this year?
“Looking for experience assisting at events or working towards an award?
“Fill in our online form to register your interest in volunteering at the event!
“We are looking for assistance with all kinds of jobs on the day. Drop us a message on Facebook or Instagram for more information.”
On the day there will be there will be plenty to see and do.
There will be food and craft stalls in the market area, a kiddies play area, an art competition within the grounds of Mauchline Castle, funfair to the rear of Poosie Nansie’s hostelry and the hospitality of the many Mauchline traders.
Vintage vehicles will be on display, while there's traditional music and dancing, three music stages, circus performers and much more.
