Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who recently led the team to a Super Bowl victory, is reportedly seeking to renegotiate his contract due to concerns about the amount of guaranteed money remaining. Stafford is set to receive an estimated $31 million in guarantees for the upcoming 2024 season, as per Overthecap.com.
Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed the reports but refrained from providing specific details on a potential timeline for adjusting Stafford's contract. McVay emphasized that discussions with Stafford are ongoing and kept private within the team.
When asked about finding a resolution to the contract issue, Rams general manager Les Snead expressed the team's enthusiasm for having Stafford as their quarterback but did not provide a direct answer.
