Matthew Stafford doesn’t quite have a Hall of Fame resume yet, but he’s going to retire as one of the most productive quarterbacks in NFL history. He’s doing things that only current Hall of Famers have accomplished, like this feat he added to his resume on Sunday afternoon against the 49ers.
With 307 yards in Week 2, Stafford brought his career total to 52,723. That eclipses Peyton Manning for third on the all-time list of the most passing yards through a player’s first 200 games. Drew Brees holds the top spot with 55,439 yards in his first 200 games, followed by Matt Ryan (54,349).

Stafford isn’t even in the same category as Manning when it comes to career resumes, but if he keeps playing for another five years or so, he’ll have a chance to pass Manning’s career yardage total of 71,940, which ranks third all-time.
