The Los Angeles Rams put on a clinic on offense against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night, racking up 458 total yards in their 30-22 victory. Matthew Stafford threw for 324 yards and two touchdowns, while Kyren Williams rushed for 104 yards and a score – his third straight week with 100 rushing yards.
As a result of each player’s stellar performance, Stafford and Williams are both nominated for FedEx Player of the Week awards. Stafford is one of three nominees for the FedEx Air Player of the Week, along with Joe Flacco and Bryce Young, who each threw for more than 300 yards and had multiple touchdowns.
Williams is up for FedEx Ground Player of the Week honors and is competing with Aaron Jones (127 yards) and Khalil Herbert (112 yards, 1 TD) for the award.
The winner of each title will receive a $2,000 donation to HBCUs in the name of the player courtesy of FedEx. No Rams player has won either award this season.
