Matthew Perry reportedly met Brooke Mueller in rehab “a couple times” — but their relationship extended outside the confines of their treatment center. Mueller recently found herself embroiled in the investigation into Perry’s October 2023 death from ketamine. According to reports, the actress and the “Friends” star often exchanged names of physicians with access to certain prescriptions.
An insider claimed that Perry and Mueller had been trading information on doctors for years, with Mueller providing names of potentially questionable doctors to Perry. The source mentioned that Mueller was more of a 'pawn' to Perry, with Perry being the one to reach out to her for favors.
While their relationship was described as friendly, they reportedly did not socialize outside of their interactions related to doctors and medications. Perry's relentless behavior in seeking out favors was attributed to his struggles with addiction.
Leading up to his death, Perry was reportedly isolated from his loved ones, with efforts made to prevent him from contacting Mueller. However, Perry's assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, played a significant role in facilitating Perry's access to ketamine, along with two doctors who up-charged Perry for the drugs.
Federal agents arrested and charged five individuals in connection to Perry’s death, including the two doctors, Perry's assistant, a drug dealer known as the “Ketamine Queen,” and a male acquaintance. The doctors were found to have made a substantial profit from Perry's drug purchases.
Despite the ongoing legal investigation, Mueller was questioned about her relationship with Perry but was not charged with any crime. Police searched her home while she was in rehab, seizing her computer and phone.
Recently, Mueller celebrated her 47th birthday with her family, including her rarely seen twin sons. Mueller shares the teens with her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, from whom she was married from 2008 to 2011.
