Manchester United fans are split over whether they should attempt to sign PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo in January.
Gakpo has been on the Reds' radar since the summer with Erik ten Hag witnessing the 23-year-old's talents first hand whilst manager of Ajax. The forward even admitted to having conversations with the United boss in the summer.
However, a move for Gakpo fell through as PSV deemed the approach to be too late in the window for them to find a suitable replacement should they choose to sell. United instead focused their energy elsewhere and Antony was brought in from Amsterdam to fill the hole in the Reds' front line.

In the Netherlands, Gakpo went from strength to strength and despite claims from PSV that United's approach disrupted him, the forward did not let it show on the pitch. Before the World Cup, the 23-year-old scored 13 goals and claimed 17 assists in what has been a superb start to the campaign.
And on his World Cup debut Gakpo showed the world what he is capable of with a brilliantly timed run to flick Frenkie de Jong's cross past the Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. Following the performance, the forward was unsurprisingly linked with United again.
While some United fans believe that the Reds should be approaching Gakpo once again in January, others believe that he may not be what the club needs this winter despite his obvious talents. Here is what supporters have been saying on Twitter.
What is almost certain is that Gakpo's value will continue to increase should his form at the Qatar tournament continue.
