MANILA, Philippines — After joining the Philippine Army's Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM), Matteo Guidicelli participated in a field demonstration with the Special Operations Unit at the Borromeo Field of the Philippine Military Academy on Monday, May 20.
The actor who earned the rank of second lieutenant during the demostration and posted photos on his social media accounts.
"It was an honor and privilege to have taken part in the Philippine Army’s field demonstration alongside the Special Operations Unit and other military units this afternoon. It was a humbling experience to have set foot on the sacred grounds of the Borromeo Field in the Philippine Military Academy. Thank you to each and every soldier I met today for the warm welcome. 'Serving the people. Securing the land.' I am a proud Filipino!"

In an interview, Matteo said that he underwent ranger training for one month at the Philippine Army Camp starting May 27.
Matteois also part of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary. — Rappler.com
