A new David Bowie-inspired Barbie doll has been launched in homage to the late iconic singer.
It's the second time the US toy maker has produced a doll based on Bowie. In 2019, Mattel released a doll inspired by Bowie’s Space Oddity phase.
The latest Barbie-as-Bowie wears the bespoke powder-blue suit that Bowie wore in the official Life On Mars? music video, complete with a foil-printed pin-stripe shirt, statement tie and platform shoes.

The doll, which has already sold out online, is described as having "bold blue eyeshadow and a hairstyle inspired by Bowie’s ’70s glam era".
Mattel said: "David Bowie was a one-man cultural phenomenon for his contributions to music, art, fashion, and film. Our second tribute doll celebrates the 50th anniversary of his classic Hunky Dory, the iconic Life on Mars? video, and an outfit forever associated with this ultimate pop chameleon."
While many are clearly loving the doll, some have likened it to another late celebrity. Discussing the new Mattel addition on ITV's This Morning, Alison Hammond said: "This is supposed to be David Bowie, but it looks like Cilla Black".
Dermot O'Leary said: "That's just a Cilla Black doll! Do you think they just had a job lot of Cilla Black dolls?". Alison added: "It should be a Cilla doll as far as I'm concerned".
Fans watching at home shared the same sentiment. Taking to Twitter, Tasha said: "C’mon it’s clearly Cilla Black, how’s that David Bowie?". Lilly said: "How is that Bowie? It's Cilla!"
