Former child star Matt Prokop, 33, was recently arrested in Victoria, Texas, following an alleged assault on his girlfriend. The incident occurred when Prokop's girlfriend reported to authorities that he had assaulted her, prompting a response from the Victoria PD. By the time police arrived at the scene, the couple had already left, but they were later located in response to another disturbance call in the area.
During their investigation, police were informed that Prokop had allegedly pushed his girlfriend and slammed her head into an object, resulting in injuries that led to his arrest. Prokop, known for his roles in shows like 'The Office' and children's programs such as 'Hannah Montana' and 'High School Musical 3,' had previously faced a restraining order for alleged abuse towards his ex-girlfriend, actress Sarah Hyland.
In September 2014, Hyland filed for a temporary restraining order against Prokop, accusing him of choking her and threatening her life. Court documents revealed her statement to authorities, expressing fear for her life during the incident. Prokop was subsequently ordered to stay away from Hyland and her pet dog.
Hyland later spoke out about the experience, emphasizing the importance of overcoming challenges to grow as a person. She has since moved on with her life and is now married to 'Bachelor in Paradise' bartender Wells Adams, whom she wed in August 2022.
