Matt Judon responds to fan’s charity offer for signing DeAndre Hopkins

There’s never a dull moment when it comes to New England Patriots’ linebacker Matthew Judon’s hilarious recruiting pitches for the team.

It’s been in overdrive mode over the last few days after it was reported that the Patriots would be pursuing five-time Pro Bowl receiver DeAndre Hopkins in the free agent market.

In his latest attempt, he agreed to match a $500 donation offered to Hopkins’ favorite charity by a Patriots fan on social media.

“I will donate $500 to the charity of your choice if you sign with N.E.,” the fan wrote in a private message to Hopkins, which was shared on social media.

That prompted a response from Judon, who was tagged in the Twitter post.

Even Patriots’ fans are attempting to do their part in an effort to secure what would be the most talented receiver the team has signed since Randy Moss.

Despite playing in only nine games last season, Hopkins still finished the year with a ridiculous 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns. That kind of outside receiving talent could turn the tide for a Patriots team hell-bent on being competitive in the AFC East and getting back to the playoffs.
