Matt Hancock to enter I'm a Celebrity camp tonight as MP replaces Olivia Attwood in the jungle

Matt Hancock is set to return to our TV screens with his entrance to the I'm a Celebrity camp expected on Tuesday.

The former healthy secretary will join the likes of Boy George and Chris Moyles in the Australian jungle as a late arrival following a stint in isolation. His entrance was previously teased by hosts Ant and Dec and viewers will not need to wait much longer before his controversial arrival.

The 44-year-old's decision to star in the show has saw him effectively expelled from the Conservative Party, forcing him to sit as an independent.

The MP's arrival comes following the early departure of reality TV star Olivia Attwood who left camp for medical reasons after appearing on just the opening two episodes.

The casting has created quite the controversy with Hancock being widely mocked on social media for his decision to jet off to join I'm a Celeb.

Producers of the hit show revealed they approached the MP twice over the summer in a bid to secure him as a booking but were turned down. But there was clearly a change of heart...

Fellow late arrival comedian Seann Walsh is also expected shortly to complete the line up this series.
