Gina Coladangelo flew to Australia on Wednesday to support the MP, who has been heavily criticised for leaving his constituency to join the show. Viewers have now begun voting on which celebrities stay in the jungle or leave.
It has now emerged that Ms Coladangelo left her marketing and communications job for charity UK Youth earlier this month, less than two months after taking on the role. Her decision has sparked speculation about her and Mr Hancock’s future after the show.
He resigned last year after he was caught breaking Covid social distancing rules by having an affair in his office with aide Ms Coladangelo. The incident cost both of them their marriages, and on the show he has asked for “forgiveness”.
