Sara Cox was forced to apologise to Radio 2 listeners after a caller branded Matt Hancock 'a c**t' live on air.
The presenter, 47, had been chatting to a caller who had rung in with a song suggestion when the expletive gaffe took place.
As the male caller explained his reasons for picking Queen's hit single 'Don't Stop Me Now', he went on to declare "because Matt Hancock's a c**t", before being quickly cut off.
"Okay so we've got to cut him off there," Sara went on to tell listeners.
"This is live radio, this happens. I can only apologise if you've got children listening in the car."
Before playing the Queen track, she added: "Huge apologises. It is live and here's the song."
"That caller's an absolute disgrace. Imagine picking Don't Stop Me Now by Queen," one Twitter user joked online after the segment aired.
"It’s true but bang out of order on national radio with little kids listening. Proper rubbish," another added, as a third wrote: "Love how she played the song anyway."
Discussing the incident on Twitter, another social media user wrote: "Not even a flutter in @sarajcox voice. Very well handled and professional!"
Sara's professionalism was praised by many listeners, with one writing: "Can't fault her.... can't fault the caller really either. Thought there was a couple of seconds delay in live sections so they could bleep these out."
This isn't the first time Mr Hancock's stint on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! has caused people to swear while live on TV or radio.
At the start of this month, Susanna Reid was forced to apologise on Good Morning Britain, after the former health secretary was labelled a 'd***head' by a guest on the ITV show.
During a heated discussion about the MP’s decision to head into the jungle, Daily Mail journalist Andrew Pierce made a jibe about the politician.
He said: "He's a d***head... I can say that, can't I?"
Susanna quickly jumped in: "No! Apologies, everyone."
