Matt Goss claims his mother, who died in 2014, visited him following his elimination from Strictly Come Dancing earlier this month.
The Bros star, 54, broke down into tears after discovering he lost his place on the show following a dance-off against actress Kym Marsh.
At the time of his elimination on October 16, he revealed how he wished his late mum and sister had been in the studio watching him showcase his best moves.
Now, Matt believes his mum Carol Phillips had paid him several visits following his exit from the hit BBC dance competition.
In a new interview, the 80s hitmaker claims he didn't watch the programme after his elimination, instead, he laid in a dark room with music playing.
Speaking to The Sun, Matt said: "A bag fell off a shelf and then I said 'mum is that you? If it's you, can the music stop?' and then the music stopped, then it came back on and did it again.
"It happened about five times, I knew it was my mum, it was unbelievable and this incredible, warm feeling came over me.
"It was a beautiful thing and I knew it was a sign everything would be ok."
Matt's mum died in 2014 after losing her battle with breast cancer.
Speaking to The Mirror earlier this month, Matt explained that the "tremendous loss and heartache" he has faced over the course of his life has shaped who he is today.
He said: "I always want to be an optimist, so when I look back on my mother's death, I see now that she could see all the beauty of life in her final days - when she knew it was all coming to an end.
"I'll be honest, there have been times where I've wanted to give up completely because of all the heartache. But I saw my mother fighting, and I saw her have no choice in whether she lives or dies, and that woke me up - that slapped me in the face."
Matt sat alongside his mum during her final days at his home in Los Angeles, California, where he had been caring for her every need.
The singer said in her final moments, Carol was looking all around her, at the sky, grasses and flowers - appreciating what was around her for the last time.
He described it as "one of the most powerful moments" of his life – but despite this, Carol died after a "violent experience" after an IV drip caused her stomach to rupture.
