Matt Gallagher to leave Munster with Johann van Graan in the summer

Munster full-back Matt Gallagher will join departing head coach Johann van Graan and defence coach JP Ferreira at Bath next season.

Gallagher, 25, joined the Reds in 2020 but his time in Limerick has been disrupted by injury.

The former Saracens player had only made five appearances in his first season when he had to undergo shoulder surgery and his Munster career has been stop-start since.

“He is ready to make a successful return to the Premiership and realise his full potential," read a Bath statement, confirming his summer move.

The English outfit has also announced the signing of Niall Annett, who will move from Worcester Warriors in the summer.

“The 30-year-old Ulsterman has delivered consistently outstanding performances in the Premiership, often under the radar, and demonstrated strong leadership qualities,” Bath stated.
