Matthew Edmondson has looked back on his first date with wife Bryony Emmett.
The BBC Radio One presenter, 34, celebrated his 14th anniversary with his childhood sweetheart over the weekend.
Taking to Instagram, Matthew gushed over his precious Bryony who loved him before the fame and fortune.
Alongside three throwback snaps of the perfect pair from their teenage years, the funny man joked that his wife is the luckiest woman alive because she knew him when he was a style icon with highlighted hair and 'one jumper' to his name.
"Today is 14 YEARS since my first date with @bryonyedmondson - she met me when I was a total stud, with straightened, ‘sun-in’ dyed hair, severe acne and only one jumper to my name. She is the luckiest woman alive".
Matthew continued his wholesome post by recalling the first time he took Bryony out on a date.
The pair hit it off over a meal at a 'posh pizza express' and from then on, they never looked back.
"I took her out to a restaurant called Kettners because someone had described it to me as being ‘like a posh pizza express’ and then I whooped her ass at bowling. We’ve never looked back".
Unable to properly celebrate their special day whilst in lockdown, Matthew insisted that it didn't matter as the pair were together, and they didn't need anything else.
The pair - who share daughter four-year-old daughter Ivy - spent the day at home watching TV and napping.
"Today we celebrated this magical day by me having a two hour nap during the movie “Tangled” whilst Ivy meowed like a cat, and Bryony spending approx 4 hours searching for poster paint on the internet before giving up because it’s now rarer than gold.
"Happy (sort of) anniversary to us. I love you B!".
It didn't take long for fans to rush in with their compliments as they gushed over Matthew and Bryony's whirlwind romance.
"You two are the best and a breath of fresh air for Instagram. Your love story is so adorable" voiced one besotted fan.
Another added: "Wow, what a cute couple. Move over Kanye and Kim. This is what real love looks like".
"Stunning. Can't say the same for the fashion choices though mate" quipped a third.
The loved-up pair tied the knot in 2013, and three years later, they welcomed daughter Ivy together.
