Rumoured Liverpool target Matheus Nunes has reportedly been told Premier League sides Wolves are the club 'most interested' in a transfer at this stage.
That's according to Sky in Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, who claims Manchester City are also keen on the player. Liverpool are 'monitoring' the midfielder, but not closely, he adds.
The Reds have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old this summer and rumours have only intensified this week following the injury to Thiago. The Spain international is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks with a hamstring problem.

Nunes could depart Sporting Lisbon this summer with a number of Premier League clubs said to be competing for his signature. The report from Sky in Germany goes on to say the Portuguese outfit will look to recoup at least €35m if they're to part ways with Nunes this window.
Liverpool, however, are not expected to be in the market for a midfielder, despite the injury concerns. Jurgen Klopp once again addressed the likelihood of further incomings in his pre-Crystal Palace press conference on Friday.
“We have injuries, that’s how it is. Now it’s a question of how long will the players be out," he said. “There are different solutions for it. One of them, there are plenty I would say, one of them is the transfer market. The transfer market only makes sense if you can bring in the right player. The ‘right’ player, not ‘a’ player.
"That’s why I don’t have to think a lot about it. If something’s not possible why should I constantly think, “'f not, we cannot exist.' We can. All the other solutions are inside the squad.”
