Mateo Joseph was impressed by Leeds United under-21's ability to react as they came from behind to defeat Middlesbrough 4-2 at Rockliffe on Saturday.
The Spaniard scored his third treble of the campaign to extend his tally to 11 goals in eight league games this season. Leeds extended their lead at the summit of the Premier League 2 Division 2 to six points, and Joseph believes that their second half response was similar to what will be demanded at the highest level.
"Yeah I enjoyed, the team did well in the second half.," Joseph told LUFCTV. "We had to fix some things in the first half, I think we didn't play well, we have to change that if we want to win the league.
"But I'm happy for the win, it's not going to always be easy, sometimes sloppy, so [I'm] happy that the team knows how to compete in these games.

"In a team that's very important to react, at the top level they ask you to react to things, and I think we did it really well."
Joseph has been one of the standout players for a goal-laden Leeds U21 side this season. He opened his campaign with four goals in a 5-2 victory at Derby County and notched his second hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Stoke in September.
Leeds are the leading goal scorers in the division with 29 and have scored four or more goals in five of their eight games so far this term.
