The RFL will reveal the findings of the Match Review Panel on Monday evening ahead of the Super League Grand Final, the governing body has confirmed. Leeds Rhinos and St Helens will contest the final at Old Trafford, but both face a nervy wait to discover if any of their players have been banned.
The Match Review Panel will sit down on Monday morning to go through incidents in the two semi-finals before deciding whether any incidents were worthy of a suspension. Any charges worthy of a ban would see players miss out on a chance to play at Old Trafford. Usually, the RFL release the results on a Monday afternoon but given that coincides with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's funeral, they will instead wait until 7:30 Monday evening to announce their findings.
Any player charged will have a right to appeal, with their hearing to be heard Tuesday evening. Of course, they could also have any suspension extended due to a frivolous appeal. The likes of Morgan Knowles are set for a nervous wait. The St Helens and England forward was sin-binned for a dangerous tackle in their win over Salford Red Devils on Saturday.
