High street giant Matalan has impressed people with a £27 jacket that is both timeless and chic. But while the £27 Matalan jacket is nice to look at in its own right, it looks strikingly similar to a £2,500 version from designer heavyweight Chanel.
The blazer, which also comes in a lime colour, is part of Matalan's Et Vous range. The Et Vous Black Short Boucle Blazer, which Matalan describes as 'chic', has been designed with versatile monochrome tones, and features snug long sleeves.
It has two front pockets and a timeless button up front to complete the classic look. The Matalan jacket looks strikingly similar to Chanel's timeless vintage houndstooth blazers, which can retail for around £2,500 each.

The Matalan Et Vous Black Short Boucle Blazer is available in sizes 16 to 20 on the fashion retailer's website. It appears to be selling out quickly after it was reduced from £36 down to £27, reports the ECHO.
One Matalan reviewer said of the £27 Chanel jacket dupe: "Nice jacket that can be worn with jeans for a causal look or over a nice black dress for a more classic look." Another said: "Smart looking jacket ideal for dressing up or down over jeans. Sleeves were a bit long but otherwise a good fit."
A third reviewer said; "Lovely jacket, brought the 8 but the fit was not great, could do with a size 6." The Et Vous Black Short Boucle Blazer is available to buy in Matalan stores and on the Matalan website now.
Similar jackets can be found at Karen Millen for £80 (reduced down from £159), and on ASOS for £54 (reduced down from £90).
