If there's one shoe well-loved for its comfort and easy-going style for summer, it's Birkenstock sandals - but they're not known for being cheap.
So if you don't want to pay the designer price, then we have news for you, as we have spotted a similar pair from high-street retailer Matalan. Not only are they similar, but they are also over £60 cheaper, making them a bargain find.
The retailer's simple and relaxed Gold Footbed Sliders are the ideal open-toed sandal that will keep your feet comfy when the weather gets that bit warmer. Said to provide "easy comfort", the sliders can be perfectly paired with a relaxed vest top and short combo this summer.
Not only are they relaxed and rather stylish, they also bear a resemblance to the Arizona Birko-flor from Birkenstock.
Both sandals feature the same gold timeless double adjustable buckle design and comfortable footbed for an easy fit. The pricey shoe is described as a "genuine classic" and has earned cult-like status for its comfort.
The only differences we could find was that the Birkenstock sandal is also available in silver and, of course, features the Birkenstock name. Matalan's shoe is also only available in sizes 4-8 whilst the Birkenstock sandal is available in a narrow and regular fit with sizes ranging from 3.5-9.
While Birkenstock's classic shoe is priced at a whopping £75, Matalan's similar sandal will set you back just £12 from the retailer's website. It means that fashion fans are saving a whopping £63 when compared to the designer brand.
It looks like the Gold Footbed Sliders from Matalan could be set for your holiday suitcase, if the reviews from shoppers are anything to go by. With a 4.75 out of 5 star rating, the sliders have been a hit with fans who have hailed them as being "perfect" for the summer season.
One enthusiastic shopper said: "Look expensive and really comfy from the first wear."
