Masters viewers were left 'confused' after Rory McIlroy conducted an on-course interview during the first round at Augusta National.
McIlroy got off to a disastrous start with a double bogey on seven but birdied the eighth hole to get himself back to one-over par.
And the Northern Ireland man decided to do an on-course interview on the ninth hole with CBS as Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman spoke to him through an Airpod.
The scenes left viewers surprised as McIlroy spoke to the studio both walking to his approach shot and talking through his routine and number before taking his shot and continuing when walking towards the green.
And one viewer said they were left perplexed by the move, saying: "Extremely confused why Rory McIlroy would do that interview during his round."
But it wasn't all negative with a number of viewers enjoying the on-course interview.
One social media user said: "Watching Rory McIlroy give an interview while playing the 9th at Augusta was insanely cool. More of that please."
While another said: "Rory McIlroy giving an in depth interview while walking down the fairway is something I've not seen before, but then continuing it by talking through the shot he's about to play during practice shots and analysing it afterwards feels bizarre."
Shane Lowry shot a stunning four-under par on the opening day while Seamus Power was one-over par.
