Golf 's first major championship of the year returns to Georgia, as the Masters tees off this Thursday . Defending champion Hideki Matsuyama became Japan's first male major winner last April by seeing off American youngster Will Zalatoris.
However, Matsuyama, 30, withdrew during his second round at the Valero Texas Open on Friday with a neck injury and there are question marks over his fitness heading into the event. In contention to take his crown are Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Cameron Smith, Dustin Johnson and Scottie Scheffler, who are all among the bookies' favourites.
Five-time Masters winner Tiger Woods is also set to play in his first major since suffering serious leg injuries in a car accident last February.
What date does the Masters begin?
Thursday, April 7, after the players participated in practice rounds earlier in the week and the Champions Dinner took place on Tuesday evening, as well as the traditional Par-3 Contest on Wednesday. The final round will be played on Sunday, April 10.
What time will the action get underway?
The first group tees off at 1pm BST. The action is likely to continue until close to midnight UK time.
